Overview
You are looking to deploy Aurea Process (Savvion) including the database to a cloud environment such as MS Azure, Oracle Cloud or Amazon Web Services (AWS) and would like confirmation on the supported deployment scenarios and related documentation for the supported cloud deployments.
Information
Aurea Process Enterprise is certified on AWS Cloud.
The database can be provisioned through an RDS instance on AWS cloud but from a product perspective, the only requirement is to have a database where the required application tables can be created and it does not matter if it is hosted on cloud or on-premise. The important consideration is to ensure sufficient bandwidth and low-latency network connectivity between the Aurea Process (Savvion) server and the database server.
Installation steps for Aurea Process on AWS cloud are documented in the Aurea Process 2021 R1 Enterprise Cloud Installation Guide.
- Cloud installation (Platform as a Service) is an Enterprise feature that requires an enterprise license. Cloud installation has not been tested on Azure Cloud hence no installation steps have been documented for Azure.
- Licenses are issued on a CPU core basis hence if you are increasing the CPU core count on the Savvion server(s) then you must contact Account management to obtain a new license key.
Aurea Process can be deployed on virtualized infrastructure (Infrastructure as a Service) as long as the guest OS is supported and the hardware/software requirements are complied with. This, therefore, means any cloud infrastructure provider can be used to provision the VMs that in this scenario will work the same way as an on-premise deployment.
